dear chicago, i love you so much but this weather is a little much. negative 22 degrees to 40 degrees. are you trying to get me sick? this relationship of ours is really starting to get strained. can you hurry up and bring back your gorgeous summer face? dear knit picks, thanks for accepting my expired gift card. i'm not quite sure what i would have done without my knitting during this chiberian insanity. dear  mom, if you could come back to chicago like asap…that would be great. i miss you. thanks. dear tangled friends, thank you so much for all the birthday wishes on instagram, twitter and this here bloggy. you are are so stinkin' sweet. dear youtube,  darn you…why am i just now coming to the vlogging party? i mean…why was i not told earlier how freaking cute some of these families are? shout out to the nive nulls, gabeandbabetv and Patricia Bright! you guys have made my insomnia way more entertaining. oh to you peeps who haven't rsvp'd to this awesome party…subscribe now! i promise..it's quite entertaining. dear anthony evans, kari jobe and francesca battistelli, your music has been my life raft these last couple of months. i'm about 100% sure you will never know how much it got me through some tough days. dear soul city, i have no words for how much i love you. i've never been prouder to be a part of such an amazing community of believers. i'm proud to call you my church home and grow with you in the light and love that is Christ.

DEAR FRIDAY, i have never been so happy to see you in my life. this has been the longest week ever. what took you so long? DEAR LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE, thanks for giving me the opportunity to witness my first moonrise and sunrise. it was truly magical. i miss you so much. please have me back soon! DEAR MOM, i'm so excited to have you in town this weekend. sorry for almost popping your head off with my insanely tight hug. what can i say…i've miss you like "whoa!" 

DEAR FALL, hello lover! i am so happy to have you back in my life. i love looking out my window and seeing you in the trees, the awesome clothes and of course the return of pumpkin spice lattes. DEAR SCANDAL, you are killing me! you are by far the best show to ever grace tv. please never go off the air. thanks. DEAR STASH CHAI GREEN TEA, i have officially become obsessed with you. i believe my friends are starting to worry i may turn into a giant tea leaf. but i don't care…you have my heart.

dear chicago, man o man have you kept me busy and exhausted this summer. don't you worry though…i have loved every minute of it. dear tinder dating app, i fought you and i fought you and now i have to say. you're pretty rad. who knew? dear forty-five lbs lost, don't think i'm writing this to say i miss you guys but could you be so kind and send a letter to twenty more of your friends and tell them to get the hell out of here!! thanks.  dear indigo studio, i love you so much and you don't even know it. thanks for keeping this chick motivated. dear mom, don't you worry…i'm still trying to get you steve harvey tickets. dear amazing friends of mine, i know i tell all of you individually how much i love you guys but seriously…i.love.you. dear toyota solara, you finally sold! we had some good times didn't we? but…i do not miss you and your payments. as lightning mcqueen from the movie cars would say, "ka-chow!" dear scandal, why aren't you coming back on until october 3rd? do you not care about my mental health? oh and did i mention i'm kind of mad at you for making me root for a cheating married man and his amazingly dressed mistress. but i still love you.

dear trader joe's, thanks for seriously making this week end on an even higher note. wine sale! dear bus driver on the 9:17am route. could you please take a chill pill and stop breaking so hard. do you know how hard it is to even try looking cute on the bus? no one is cute when they are holding on for dear life and jerking around like a spastic freak.  dear christmas, i'm going to need you to step off a bit. i have a lot more to do before you visit and with all your hovering..it's becoming more and more difficult. dear goddess and grocer, thanks for being the reason i have a date tonight. if it goes well…i'm so going to step up my game and buy a more expensive bottle of wine on my next visit. dear chicago, i really couldn't be more excited about all you have to offer this holiday season. you look so pretty with all your decorations!!! 

dear channing tatum, just in case you are wondering...your sexiest man alive issue will be on my coffee table for about a year. thought i should say thanks. dear God, thanks for making channing tatum.  

dear 6pm.com, thanks for luring me into your trap with your sultry discounts. i love my new snow boots. bring it on snow!

Dear Stylemax, I really need you to be nice to me this weekend. Please let all things go smoothly and off without a hitch. oh and if you could be so kind to remind me that i'm not 21 anymore when i try to go out and party after you? thanks. Dear Forever 21, let me just take a moment and tell you how much i love you. because of you i bought this, this, this and this. well on my way to wardrobe remake 2012. Dear Target, thanks for the cute new $12 leopard flats. oh and yes…I'm still not 100% convinced this new "target debit" doesn't have a catch! I'm on to you.  Dear Pinterest, I'm making a vow to you now…I promise i will start actually doing things that i pin. Dear Mr. New Neighbor, thank you for giving me a reason to keep my makeup on... right up until i go to bed…just in the hope that you come knocking on my door asking for a cup of sugar. don't you worry. i'll be waiting/ready. Dear Mom, thank you for seriously being the best mom ever. i love that we ended our conversation last night with you telling me to keep an eye out for steve harvey…now that he's in Chicago. yes ma'am. Dear Ranita, thanks for being the most supportive cousin ever and always calling me to tell me my blog is funny. glad my insane life brings you humor. Dear AARP, why are you sending me mail? My 29th bday is 2 months away. geesh! give a girl some breathing room. (but keep the discounts coming. i'm okay with those early!)

Dear middle of the week holiday, I really don't appreciate you making me feel so out of sorts. I'm pretty sure I've had about 3 panic attacks thinking it was Sunday when it's really only Thursday. So not cool. Dear Ladies of Knit Stop, Do you realize that Vogue Knitting LIVE is here in Chicago this year? Am I wrong to already be planning your lives for you and assuming each and everyone of you are coming? EXCITEMENT! Dear Car, Please sell already. Do you know how difficult it is to buy new shoes when I have to worry about you and your insurance? Mama needs a new pair of shoes. SELL SELL SELL.  Don't be sad. Mama still loves you. Dear Mr. Fedex, I will not be slave to you and your insane good looks. Please stop all the shy half smiles and the sly waves. I'M ON TO YOU! 

Dear Miley Cyrus,  Please teach me your seductive ways. Clearly I'm doing something wrong if "Hannah Montana" is getting married while I'm still single and the highlight of my week is blogging about Huck the dog getting fresh with me in the elevator.  

Dear Nora Ephron,  First let me start by saying "thank you!" Thank you for pretty much teaching me all there is to know about love... and what to expect from a man. Now some may say it's all unrealistic and a fairly tale...but I believe that because of you; I refuse to settle for Mr. So-So when I know that I can have Mr. Sam Baldwin, Mr. Harry Burns, Mr. Michael, Mr. Joe Fox and we must not forget Mr. Paul Child. Ms. Ephron, you raised a generation of love sick ladies and we wouldn't have it any other way.  You will be missed. mwah!

Hilarious.  Dear homeless woman sitting next to me on the bus,  I can see you reading my phone screen as I type this. You aren't as sneaky as you think. Dear Mom, Thank you so much for getting me through the last three months and putting up with my emotional tackiness. I love you.  

Dear Dad,  I hope you are ready for our 4 hour therapy drive tomorrow. BRING IT ON!
